Hurray! Mail from Kazakhstan! This is a Czech tapestry, it looks very well done and I'm endlessly amazed at the detail as well.

Larger image: Bazaar, Osh City
Smaller: Water-wheel

And this is a lovely card from Kyrgyzstan! Always nice to see views of countries that are difficult to get cards from :D

A couple of small extras, perfect for mail art :D

As well as this theatre guide, it was very interesting to leaf through. I think the only thing I understood was that the play "Othello" was going to be performed.

So this card shows the acting art form of Kabuki, I'm not sure if it is still the case today. But in the past all kabuki actors were male. Similar to the theater tradition of only having male actors on stage in the past. If I understood the sender correctly, the play being mentioned on this card is Kagamiyama Kokyou no Nishikie. Still very great and informative card about one of Japan's ancient and beautiful art forms.

Unfortunately my camera could do no justice, this handmade card is far more shinier and nice to see in person. Camera, why?!

Also the envelope was very cool to look at as well!

Treat, 2007, Acrylic on Rives.

I actually have this postcard book (XOXO by James Jean) so it's kind of interesting to actually receive one from the same book. The art is super funky, that's why I bought it :)

The Maid of the Mist sails past the American Falls on her way to the Horseshoe falls.

Wow my first official card from Canada, ain't that just special? :D So of course this is the very famous Niagara Falls, the most scenic and well known part of the Falls (Horseshoe Falls) is located on the Canadian side though the falls are on the border between Canada and the US.
